Lighting Improvement and Vacant Lot Clean Up Assistance Program

The CID is excited to announce a limited scope program for 2024 to assist our membership with cleaning up vacant lots and installing / repairing security lighting on buildings.

Program Parameters:

Both programs will run from July 15, 2024 to December 1, 2024. All work must be completed by 11/25/24 and all final documentation must be submitted to the CID by 12/1/24.

All property owners in the CID are eligible to participate in this program, but funds are limited and applications will be approved on a first come first serve basis.

All Applicants must complete an application with supporting documents in order to be considered for the program. Program applications are evaluated and approved on the second Thursday of each month at the CID Board Meeting. Any application wishing to be reviewed must be received by the Friday proceeding the Board Meeting.

The CID may request additional supporting documents not otherwise requested in this application to better understand the scope of work or costs associated to the funds allocation.

The CID may also choose to conduct a site visit prior to application approval and another upon completion of the project.

Lighting Program:

The CID is offering one time Security Lighting Grants to properties inside the CID . Grant allocations will vary based off individual applicant’s needs, but no single grant can exceed $1000.00/per applicant.

Funds can be used for the following purposes:

  • Install exterior lighting to your property to areas not currently well lit.
  • Repair existing security lighting.
  • Replace existing lighting with a more efficient light source (potentially LED or to cover a wider area)

All lighting program applicants are expected to submit a detailed plan for the use of funds breaking out both the labor and materials needed to complete the project and an explanation of why these improvements are necessary.

Vacant Lot Clean Up:

The CID is offering access to the following in kind services to assist property owners in cleaning up vacant lots:

  • Man power to bag trash / debris onsite
  • Tire removal / Disposal
  • Bulky Item Pick Up and Special Trash Collection Assistance
  • One time mowing service to reduce high weeds or grass on property
  • No Trespassing Signage Installation
